Easy Shredded Chicken
This shredded chicken cooks in the slow cooker all day to make dinner prep quick and easy!
- 2-4 Chicken Breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth or stock
- 1 pepper
- 1 salt
Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Add chicken broth to cover the chicken.
Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
Remove chicken from slow cooker, reserving the broth.
Shred chicken (see above for how to shred your chicken).
(optional) Mix chicken with seasoning of your choice. Add in a 2-3 tablespoons of the reserved broth for extra moist and flavorful chicken.
- This recipe can also be made on the stovetop. Add the chicken to a large skillet, cover with broth. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 20-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through to 165 degrees.
