It’s What’s up Wednesday with Sheaffer & Shay! I’m sharing a little about what’s been going on around here this month.

What We’re Eating this Week
We have a very busy week ahead, so everything this week is going to be simple.
- Tacos
- Pastina Soup – If you’ve never had it, you MUST try this recipe.
- White Chicken Enchiladas
- Italian Chicken Pasta
I also made a batch of my perfect chocolate chip cookies this weekend. This is, hands down, my favorite cookie recipe. Classic, simple, and super easy to make.

What I’m Wearing
Working from home means that I rarely get dressed up for work. I’m always looking for comfy outfits that still look semi-professional when I’m on a Zoom call. This set checks those boxes for me. I pair it with some fun jewelry to make myself look a little more put together. They are a bit oversized, which just adds to the comfy feel for me. It comes in so many colors and styles that I’m planning to order a couple more to add to my rotation.

What I’m Loving
My new bathroom! My sweet husband has worked many nights and weekends to get our tiny bathroom updated. I wish we had a “before” picture so you could see the drastic change. Just picture beige everything with a colorful shower curtain to try to brighten up the space. I love the clean look, and the glass door just makes it feel a little bigger.

What I’m Excited About
This Thursday is opening day for our Cincinnati Reds. Even though we live in Kentucky now, we still love our Reds. We have attended every opening day for the last 15 years and can’t wait to continue the tradition again this week. Next week, we are heading to the mountains for a few days to relax and recharge for spring break. So much to look forward to after a dreary March that just seemed to never end!
What I’m Reading/Listening To
I’ve listened to several audio books this past month. My two favorites are Wild Side by Elsie Silver and The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. If you love sweet romance with a great storyline and a little spice, Elsie is your girl. You can listen to/read any of her books as a stand-alone, but I suggest starting with book one in the series. The Let Them Theory was eye-opening for me. It shifted my perspective, and helped me see how much energy I was spending on things I can’t control. I highly suggest the audio book (Mel is the narrator). Hearing it directly from the author just added a little something special to the experience.
What Amazon Purchase Did I Love This Month

I’m TERRIBLE about keeping up with my nails. I will go to the salon for gel nails and not keep up with them, or paint them some bright color only to have them chip the next day. A friend suggested I add cuticle oil to my daily routine and purchase this polish set. I’ve been amazed by the results. The oil helps keep my cuticles hydrated and stops them from peeling. The polish (actually called nail concealer) adds a touch of color to my nails while still looking natural. The best part is that it’s so much less noticeable when they start to chip (they lasted a little over a week before that happened). If you’re a busy mom who wants her nails to look professional without the salon, I highly recommend trying these out.

This picture is only day one of the cuticle oil. They look ten times better now that I’ve been using it regularly.
What I’m Doing This Weekend
We have family coming to visit for the weekend, so we will be spending time with them while packing for our spring break trip.
I hope everyone has a great week!
