What We’re Eating this Week
I’ve been testing out new recipes this week and made a HUGE batch of Jen Hatmaker’s lasagna. I have to say it was one of the cheesiest lasagnas I’ve ever made. I’m still tweaking the recipe to fit my family’s taste, but I recommend trying it if you have the time.
My family also requested that I try to make our favorite roasted brussels sprouts with candied bacon and this recipe did not disappoint (recipe post coming soon). They were super easy to make and delicious!
What I’m Reminiscing About
December is over half way over and I’m already missing it. I feel like we have been so busy that we haven’t been able to fit in all of our usual holiday traditions. The kids and I are off for two weeks starting Friday, so I’m going to make the most of the time we have together the rest of the month.
What I’m Loving
We have finished our holiday shopping early for the first time in a long time. My family made it simple this year and decided that we will only buy gifts for the kids and not worry about buying for the adults. We will plan some fun family games and activities with prizes in lieu of gifts for everyone. It makes it easier on the younger adults in the family by giving them one less gift that they have to budget for. I think this is one new tradition that might stick! What I’m Excited About
All of the magic that the next two weeks will bring. We have parties to attend, family to see, and family time to enjoy. I know these times with my kids won’t last, so I’m soaking it all up!

I’ve had holiday romance books on repeat this month. Light and easy reads to get me in the holiday mood!
What Amazon Purchase Did I Love This Month
I found the comfiest sweatshirt/sweater for the holidays! I’ve already worn it twice and it still fits and feels great after going through the washer and dryer. The color I purchased is not in stock right now, but there are so may other great options to choose from here.
