What We’re Eating this Week

I try not to cook a lot the weeks we are going out of town. I made a big batch of pasta salad and Pastina Soup on Sunday and we have been eating that and whatever we need to clean out in the fridge this week.

What I’m Reminiscing About

This month, we have had SO MANY school events to attend. From awards ceremonies to school dances to class pizza parties. This is the last year that both of my kiddos will be in elementary school and it’s so bittersweet. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful experiences they have had at their school and with their friends.

What I’m Loving

All the holiday things. This time of year always puts me in such a good mood. I love seeing all of the decorations go up and feeling the excitement of the season and planning for my holiday shopping. This year, I decided to start early by asking friends, family, and my readers to share their favorite gifts to give or receive. You can find that full list of ideas in this post.

Check out this cute little tree that the kids helped me put together.

What I’m Excited About

The holiday season! We have a couple of months where our schedules won’t be so crazy with sports and activities. I’m ready for all the family time and cozy fall/winter nights.

What I’m Reading/Listening To

I love Kendra Adachi’s books and podcast. I preordered a print copy of her new book, but I also love listening to her, so I borrowed the audiobook from the library. There are so many great little nuggets in The PLAN that I can’t wait to implement.

What Amazon Purchase Did I Love This Month

My yeti rambler 10oz cup. We have so many large travel mugs and water bottles that don’t fit in my cup holder (my car is really old). This little gem holds one cup of coffee and is perfect to take with me when running the kids to school or going to a soccer game. I love the size and the fact that it’s super easy to clean.

What I’m Doing This Weekend

We are heading out of town (again) to see family this weekend. Most of our family lives one state away so we frequently choose to go stay with them to make things easier for the holidays.

I hope you all have a fabulous long weekend with friends and family!!
