Make a Personalized Gift
You can create a personalized Father’s Day gift by having your favorite photos printed on wood. I absolutely love this one that I had made for my husband several years ago. It was such a fun way to capture the memories of the kids helping him build a shed in our backyard. He keeps it outside in the shed and it’s so fun to look at it and see how much our yard has changed and how much the kids have grown. This will forever be a favorite gift of his (and mine, too)!
There are so many options out there for personalized gifts. Think about what he loves and look for an accessory that goes along with it to put your family’s spin on it. If he loves to grill, get a custom apron or a set of grilling tools with his name on it. Is the father figure in your life a coffee junkie? Let your kids help create a custom mug just for him.
Give the Gift of Time
If the dads in your life are anything like mine, they are constantly moving from one thing to the next. Plan an activity where he can truly relax. Buy tickets to his favorite sporting event, plan a day for him to golf, or do something he enjoys. Mamas, I know we are always saying we just want a few minutes to ourselves. Sometimes it’s the same for the dads in our lives.
Make a Dad Appreciation Jar
Work with your kids to create this fun gift that everyone can contribute to. Get a jar and fill it with notes that show him how much you appreciate him. Include notes from yourself and the kids in your life. We even created a few that the kids thought of from our pets to make it extra fun. Phrases like “Thanks for teaching me how to hit the ball hard!” or “I love it when you take me to the park for a hike!” are great ways to show him how much all the little things he does matters to you. He can keep the jar in a place where he can pull the notes out and read them when he needs a little boost.
Subscription Boxes
Give a gift that lasts beyond Father’s Day with a subscription box. There are lots of great options out there whether he love coffee, books, craft beers, or even bourbon. There’s a subscription box for just about every interest.
DIY Unique Father’s Day Gifts
Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you make yourself. I especially love handmade gifts when buying for someone who has everything. Here are some great ideas for gifts you can make yourself or with your kids.

School Photo Magnet

This photo chain magnet is a great way to use up all those extra school photos you have sitting in a drawer somewhere. Printed pictures are extra special in our family, especially now that most of our pics live on our phones or computers. We really love this idea for grandparents, too!
Sock Boquet

One of the ways my partner shows his creativity at work is through his socks. He always has such fun patterns and the kids LOVE picking them out. This sock bouquet is a great way to add some new socks to his collection. We have bought so many over the years, but here are a few of our favorites:
Shrinky Dink Keychains
These keychains bring back so many memories for me. I loved decorating the plastic and watching it shrink in the oven. All you need are some basic office supplies and these sheets. The thing I love the most about these is that you can make a lot of them at the same time and have a gift for everyone on your list.
Upcycled Map Coasters
If you have a dad who loves to travel, these map coasters make a great father’s day gift. Cut out locations that you have traveled to as a family (or want to visit) on a map to make them even more personal.
No matter who you are buying for, I hope you found some ideas in this post. If you have a Father’s Day gift that you love to give, I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
