What We’re Eating this Week
This week has been super busy with all the sports and my husband it out of town, so I’ve taken a break from meal planning and let the kids pick their dinners for the week. Here’s what on their lineup.
- Monday: PIZZA
- Tuesday: Taco Night
- Wednesday: Spaghetti and Meatballs
- Thursday: Chipotle
- Friday: Out to Eat
If you need some more creative dinner inspiration, I posted a roundup of easy chicken recipes that has some great ideas!
What I’m Reminiscing About
My kids being little. I’ve been working on memory books for both of them and all the sweet memories from when they were little are popping up. This silly picture was from six years ago. Where did the time go?
What I’m Loving
We’ve been spring cleaning around here and I’m loving the fact that things are looking more organized. Here are some of my favs for getting our kitchen back in shape.
- I’m always looking for great storage options. These containers are great for storing leftovers, snacks, and packing my kids’ lunches. I love that the lids snap on and stay put, especially with how rough the boys in my house can be.
- These magnetic spice racks are great for spaces with little storage. The magnets are strong enough that they can hold more than just spices. You can add jars, utensils, and anything else you want to keep accessible in the kitchen.
- We have two of these under the sink organizers in our kitchen. Now our space is organized and we don’t have to go searching for anything in the cabinet.
- My fridge was one of the last places I organized. I finally bought these bins and these can holders and I’m so glad I did. It looks so much cleaner in there now and we can access everything easier. The can holders also work well for soup cans in the pantry.
- Lazy Susan organizers are great for spices or other small items that are kept in the pantry. No more pulling out everything in there just to find what I need.
- There are so many water bottle organizers, it’s hard to pick a favorite. We have the plastic ones for my kids’ school and sports bottles, but the bamboo options look great, too.
- This plastic grocery bag holder is a great storage option. I used to throw them in the bottom of the pantry, but this one looks much nicer and makes them easy to grab. We keep it mounted inside the closet, but it looks nice enough to hang on the wall, too.
- My family is notorious for leaving bags of snacks open in our pantry. I started using these food storage containers for larger items and these for the snacks we use on a more regular basis.
What We’ve Been Up To
Sports. Sports. And more sports. We have some sort of practice/game every night this week. If you need me, I’ll be at soccer or baseball for the next three months. It keeps our schedule crazy busy, but I must say that I love seeing my boys grow in their favorite sports.
What I’m Dreading
The last few weeks of school. Once spring break is over, the weeks seem to drag on until summer. The only bright light is that I get to work with some other mom’s at the school to plan lots of fun events for the teachers to help them a little, too. We are currently getting ready for teacher appreciation week. I pulled together some gift ideas on this post if you are looking for a little inspiration to help the teachers in your life get through the rest of the school year.
What I’m Excited About
We leave for the beach in FIVE DAYS! I’m so very excited to get my toes in the sand.
What I’m Reading/Listening To
Here are the last few books I’ve listened to. My goal for the month is to add a little more variety to my list. I had several chick lit books on my list last month and just didn’t love any of them. So far, this month is looking up.
What I’m Doing This Weekend
We are leaving for vacation on Sunday, so I’ll be packing and getting things organized all weekend. If you have any must-have travel items I need to add to my list, let me know in the comments!
