It’s what’s up Wednesday with Sheaffer & Shay! I’m sharing a little about what’s been going on around here this month.

What We’re Eating This Week
Our family has been a little under the weather for the past week or two. It’s also been rainy and just plain depressing outside. We all needed a little comfort food, so we have been eating lots of our favorite Pastina Soup. It’s also referred to as Italian Penicillin because its warm and soothing on a sore throat. It’s also packed with veggies and other ingredients that give you the nutrients you need when you are sick.
What I’m Reminiscing About
This month has seemed so long! After the excitement of the holidays, the rain and cold of January has had me thinking about vacation. I need to be on a beach somewhere! I keep thinking about our trip to Honduras a couple of years ago. We are going back for spring break and I am counting the days!
This was the view from the back deck. I’m closing my eyes and picturing myself there now.
What I’m Loving
I’m loving my newly-organized office space. I work from home and by December, my office was a disaster. I spent some time over the break tidying it up. Now, I feel calm when I walk in instead of being stressed about the mess.
If you want ideas on how to create a productive workspace in your home. Check out this post.
What We’ve Been Up To
We have been doing all the home improvement projects over here. We are in the process of renovating our bathroom and redecorating our living room. It’s been quite the adventure. I’ll probably do a whole post on that once we are finished. Right now it’s a little overwhelming.
I also took some time this month to clean and organize our kitchen. It was so refreshing to get rid of all the things we no longer use. I focused on keeping only the things I use and that were easy to clean and store. If you want to see the list of things we love, you can see it here.
What I’m Reading/Listening To
These two are combined because I’ve exclusively been listening to audio books. I binged this entire Elise Silver series and I loved it! They were just the thing to get lost in on a rainy day. After that, I switched to the audio books on my library list. Here’s a screenshot of my current list.
What I’m Wearing
The weather hasn’t been great around here, so I’ve been spending a lot of time inside. Since I work from my home office, there’s no need to get fancy. I’ve been living in my leggings and comfy tops that are appropriate for all the Zoom meetings. Oversized tops like this one are in my regular rotation. I got so many compliments on this dress on the one day I went into the office. It’s so comfy, comes in many different color combinations, and has pockets.
That’s it for now. If you have topics you would like to see on a future post, leave them in the comments!
I’m reading the Nightingale right now too! That soup looks so good!
Thanks, Bri!
